Crafties Nepal is a metal craft trading company. The handicraft business, esp. metal crafts and silver jewelry has been carried out for the past 3 generations in the Shakya family. The company, who used to manufacture large range of products, now specializes in retailing & outsourcing the manufacturing part. The founder, Surya Man Shakya used to sculpt by hand all the metal crafts which were then sold in the local market and sometimes in neighboring countries like Tibet and India. The company’s showroom is located in Pulchowk, Patan. Crafties Nepal’s guiding philosophy as a company is to continue the family tradition with the help of knowledge and skills accumulated for generations. It is committed to provide its customers with a large range of excellent quality handicrafts going from metal statues and ritual objects to various silver items and Pashminas. One artist is thus responsible for producing one statue and the production process may often last up to 2 years for very high quality statues.
Crafties Nepal is a privately-held company owned by Mrs. Keshari Shakya. Mr. Narayan Shakya is the Managing Director and Ms. Alka Shakya is the Sales Promotion Officer.
